Recently attended a workshop on the Creative Problem Solving Process, a facilitation method for generating actionable ideas grounded in research and data. Six steps are involved in the process.
1. Objective Finding: Identify a goal, wish, or challenge
2. Fact Finding: Gather information for a clear and understandable objective
3. Problem Finding: Sharpen awareness of the problem and create a crisp problem statement that invites solutions.
4. Idea Finding: Generate potential ideas that addresses the problem statement
5. Solution Finding: Select solutions using criteria to evaluate potential solutions against the best fit
6. Acceptance Finding: Identify resources and actions to support implementation of the selected solutions
